Joeys are live-in employees who pay rent for room in your home so you can use that income to pay them wages for help around the house. On the flip side, your student gets affordable rent and earns money with a flexible job, reducing their cost of higher education and gaining a deeper sense of community.

Can I be a Host?
There are three key things that make great Hosts:
You have an extra bedroom (with a locked door)
You can think of a few things you would consistently like off your to do list (no more lugging trash cans)
You are intrigued by the opportunity to help local students gain their financial footing in adulthood

How does it work?
JoeyCo makes the entire process seamless and supportive for our Hosts. Our process is designed with your comfort and safety in mind to ensure a compatible living arrangement. To start, we will meet with you to discuss the job description for your Joey that will make your life easier. We carefully select students based on your preferences and requirements, giving you the chance to interview and get to know them before proceeding. We handle additional vetting for your security (including national criminal background checks for all participants) ensuring your peace of mind and a secure environment for all participants.
We also assist you in becoming both an employer and a ‘landlord’, taking care of all the administrative nitty gritty. When the perfect match is confirmed, we guide you through the process of welcoming your Joey into your home. Our dedicated support team is here for you every step of the way, offering ongoing assistance and resources to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success.

You would love to build a connection with and support a local college student
You can think of a few things around the house you could use help with or chores you’d like to have consistently taken care of
You have safe living conditions, which include having a private room with a lockable door for your Joey to occupy and a dedicated bathroom for their use
